BH Cosmetics Smokey Eyes 28 Colour Eyeshadow Palette review

Let’s start this off by saying I’m fully aware that I’m not an experienced beauty guru, I’ve never studied makeup professionally and, sometimes, maybe, I won’t have a clue what I’m talking about.

BUT I do know that I love makeup and, in my life, I’ve tried a lot of it- both good and bad.

I don’t think there’s many websites that offer reviews on lower-end products and, whilst they may be less pricey, nobody wants to waste their money on a product that doesn’t work for them.

So, I’m going to be reviewing makeup products- starting with this eyeshadow palette!

Above are the swatches of the eyeshadow palette on my fingers. Okay, you probably figured that out and I know the photography isn’t A+ and my hands look a little weird but I’m not getting paid to do this the last time I checked so, y’know.

This palette, priced at £13.00 on the BeautyBay website and $10.00 on the official BHCosmetics website, is well worth the price.

It offers a large range of colours, from shimmers to mattes and from light pinks to dark blues. Some of the colours I did find lost a little bit of colour as I blended them out, and some of the shimmer colours-such as the pink in the second row- look fairly different to what they do in the pan, but they all still make for beautiful colours.

Unfortunately, the red in the palette does not reach my dream of a matte red eyeshadow, and the black is not as dark as I’d like it to be-but it is without a doubt worth the price.

The two matte purple and blue colours in the bottom row are probably my favourite as they mostly keep their colour and blend in with the other colours in the palette beautifully. The second colour in the top row also works great for an inner corner highlight.

Almost all of the colours in the palette work incredibly well (and without the need for primer) and I truly love this palette and feel like I’ll be using it a lot more.

BHCosmetics are one of my favourite companies and I’m probably going to end up buying a lot more from them. This was my first review and I tried to keep it short, but if you want anymore information please let me know!

And if there are any drugstore products you want me to review, please let me know.

Just make sure to keep them cruelty free!
